Haiku Canada Member Biography

Lucille Raizada

Lucille Raizada is a retired French Immersion teacher. She writes daily, keeping a journal, composing haiku, tanka, free verse, grocery lists, job lists, lists of reminders, all essential to her day.

With the help of her daughter Lynn Del Castilho, she has published six haiku chapbooks, two of them bilingual.

She is engaging her grandchildren into writing haiku.

She is a member of Haiku Canada and Tanka Canada and has published with both.

She has participated in the anthology Weathered Wings (2012), by the Calgary Magpie Haiku and Tanka Poets.
