Haiku Canada Member Biography



Patricia Benedict Campbell

Pat started writing Haiku in the 80’s and went on to write Tanka, Haibun and Renga. Her work has been published in Gusts, Tinywords, RAW NerVZ, DailyHaiku, World Haiku, and Haiku Canada Review.

As a member of the Magpie Haiku and Tanka Poets of Alberta, she has contributed to two anthologies, A Piece of Eggshell and Weathered Wings.

In 2012 she was awarded a prize for one of her Haiku from the Asahi Network of Japan.

She is an actor/director and Professor Emeritus from the University of Calgary, where she taught in the Department of Drama for many years. She makes her home in Calgary, and continues to perform on stage when she becomes bored with the limitations of retirement.
