Philomene Kocher

Philomene Kocher began writing haiku in 1991 and tanka in 2001. Her poetry has been published in Canada, the United States, and Japan.

She served as secretary of Haiku Canada for 12 years (1998 to 2010).

Philomene is the author of three chapbooks: The Second Time (linked haiku with Marco Fraticelli, King's Road Press, 2004); Hearing the Silence (haiku, King's Road Press, 2011), and Ten Tanka (2011).

Her first collection of haiku, tanka and haibun, Singing in the Silo, was published in 2014 (catkin press, Carleton Place, ON). Some of her poems and interviews are available on this website:
